THESE are not your ordinary course reviews – we’re not hung up on whether a particular hole is a 364-yard par-4 or a 382-yard par 4. (Seriously, who really cares?)

Instead, we focus on the overall experience of a game of golf, showing a real-life perspective of playing a heralded course for the first time, from the anticipation and excitement, the journey to the course to all the accompanying banter a real golfer would expect to engage in with playing partners.

Add to that the regional attraction highlights, local dining experiences and the extra-curricular fun to be had on and off site, and you start to get a sense of what a GolfBarons Journey is all about.

ST ANdrews Beach

AUSTRALIA HAS AN ABUNDANCE OF JOURNEY-WORTHY GOLF DESTINATIONS.

With that in mind, the GolfBarons headed down to Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula to discover the much-heralded Tom Doak-designed St Andrews Beach Golf Course.

Open, undulating fairways, incredibly slick greens and a wealth of Australian flora and fauna awaited them upon arrival.

And with some antics in-tow and a bit of drama unfolding during the round, it’s fair to say Shooter and Kippa had a memorable journey certainly worth repeating – much like their final stop at St Andrews Beach Brewery.
